Improvisation, most often, I have seen as the grandmother of invention.
The guys who found good use for an abandoned pickup are truly ingenious but the creativity of the guy who spotted it in action, captured it on camera and put it on the web for all of us to see beats Leonardo da vinci in his creativity!
