Scarecrow

Posted by Aesop

I wondered, always, as a child why they had scarecrows. Leave alone scaring a crow, they wouldn't even scare a humming bird, I believed. The only feeling, if any, I got when seeing a scarecrow was to laugh. But at the same time I knew of many, including my sister, who were really scared at the sight of a scarecrow. Now I know one more.
Fear factor in an average human being is a relative subject. Why would someone be scared of a non-entity?
Strange things do exist. There are somethings called a writing on the wall. I suspect there is something about me that scares people away; not as much as a crow, though. I am afraid that my writings speak about myself as a different personality altogether. What I mean is entirely different from what the reader comprehends. That is excellent feedback.
I shouldn't be writing anymore. Neither should I be speaking anymore.
I dont see, I dont hear, I dont speak.
I am a scarecrow.
