Miner's delight

Posted by Aesop

The piece of philosophy that poured into the Angel's ears seemed to be falling on deaf ears.
The philosophy of life, the philosophy of death, the philosophy of growing up and the philosophy of falling in love - all of those words of wisdom.
"Are you listening?" the question was expecting to yield a sign of recognition rather than a reward. "Yes dear", the response was almost a whisper. Not specifically intended to catch my attention but my ears were sharper than the angel would have imagined.
It came from the heart. I could feel it. Even the slightest muttering will get through my sound receptors. I am all ears to catch even the faintest signal that reinforces my admiration for someone who's mind reflects on the body.
Staying young is not just a state of mind - it is also a state of the body. Both being complimentary to each other, as a matter of fact. How many times have I noticed this freshness on the flower! The apparently short span of life for a flower is relative to the value of its deed with the fruit it turns out to be during the course of its life. But here's this flower that appears to stay fresh for a longer time and this is unbelievable. A body, truly reflective of its mind!
One can not stay younger than his/her age. but here's someone who looks much younger than one could imagine. The only explanation I have for this is that the mind is just as fresh or young! Beyond the comprehension of ordinary mortals who go beyond their means or reach to look; leave alone stay, young, here is a rare gem that needs no polish or shaping.
I am privileged, to catch a hearty glimpse of a beautiful soul, as much and as long as I care.
Almost everyday, I must be blessed to share many long moments of visual treat. My angel is just one of its kind. Not many people have recognised this precious jewel. I am proud that I have unearthed this priceless piece of rarity.
Call it the Miner's' delight. My happiness doesn't end with the pride that I found it; where finders dont keep it! This miner has not much experience in mining and this has been his first find and destined to be his last too. He doesnt intend to keep it nor give it away. It is already his and only his because it is God-given.
